Our Adventure

Wayne & Gabrielle Enright founded Free Spirit Adventures in 2004 as a small family business, built on their personable approach to guiding and a strong focus on each trekker’s experience. They take pride in leading adventurers through some of the world’s most iconic and challenging trails, including the Kokoda Track, Mount Kilimanjaro, Peru, Patagonia, Bhutan, New Zealand, Tasmania, Larapinta, and more.

After ceasing operations during COVID 19 pandemic, in 2025 we welcome Ryan Ollwitz to our team of adventurers, and we have entered an exciting new chapter of Free Spirit Adventures.  Our new look team is commitment to safety, personal growth, and cultural immersion and we ensure each journey is not just a trek but a life-changing adventure.

Whether you're looking to challenge yourself physically or seek meaningful connections with nature, Free Spirit Adventures is here to support you every step of the way.

What Sets Us Apart

Personalised Adventure from Start to Finish
As a small family business, the person you work with to organise, prepare, and train for your adventure will be with you every step of the way, trekking alongside you throughout the entire journey. From the initial planning to the final summit, we’re committed to ensuring your experience is seamless, personal, and fully supported.

Building a Community: Not Just Filling Seats

At Free Spirit Adventures, we don't just offer trekking experiences—we build a community. From the moment you book with us, you're not just a client, but part of Free Spirit Adventures. We believe that adventure is about connection, not just filling seats. Our focus is on fostering meaningful relationships with every person we work with, ensuring you’re supported, encouraged, and empowered every step of the way. Whether it's through personalised preparation, shared experiences on the trek, or ongoing connections long after the journey ends, we’re here to create lasting bonds that go beyond the trail.

Know the Risks, Embrace the Challenges, and Get Honest Preparation

We offer a comprehensive Adventure Preparation Program that ensures trekkers are well-prepared, confident, and familiar with both the trek demands and their fellow travellers. Our program provides an honest, clear view of the challenges ahead, so you can approach your adventure with confidence and readiness, making the experience not just achievable, but truly transformative
